अकबर बीरबल कहानी एक बार बादशाह अकबर को एक बहुत सुंदर तोता तोहफे में मिला। तोता बड़ा ज्ञानी था। अच्छी-अच्छी बातें करता था। बादशाह ने उसकी देखभाल के लिए एक आदमी नियुक्त कर दिया और उसे सख्त हिदायत दी कि अगर तुम्हारी लापरवाही से तोते की कोई बुरी खबर मेरे पास आयी तो तुम्हें फांसी पर चढ़ा दिया जायेगा। नौकर तन-मन से तोते की सेवा करने लगा। एक दिन तोते की उम्र पूरी होने के कारण वह मर गया। अब तो तोते का रखवाला घबराया और बादशाह के डर के कारण रोता हुआ बीरबल के पास पहुंचा। उसने जाते ही बीरबल के पांव पकड़े और बोला- "रक्षा, हुजूर रक्षा। बादशाह का तोता मर गया है और अगर मैंने यह बात उन्हें बतायी तो वे मुझे फासी पर लटका देंगे।" बीरबल ने नौकर से कहा, "घबराओ मत और घर जाओ।'' बीरबल ने बादशाह से कहा, "जहांपनाह, आपका तोता साधू बन गया है और उसने समाधि ले ली है।" 'बीरबल तुम यह क्या कह रहे हो ? तुम अवश्य मज़ाक कर रहे हो, क्या पक्षी भी कभी समाधि लेते हैं ? "जहांपनाह, तोते ने अपनी आंखें बंद कर ली है और पैर आकाश की तरफ कर रखे हैं।" बादशाह तोते को देखने पहुंचे और देखकर बोले- "बीरबल क्या तुम सीधे-सीधे यह नहीं कह सकते हो कि तोता मर गया ?" "मैं कह सकता था, पर अगर मैं आपसे ऐसा कहता तो आप नौकर को फांसी लगवा देते। " अकबर मुस्कुराये और बोले, "तुमने दूसरे आदमी की जान बचायी। मैं तुम्हारा शुक्रगुजार हूं।" शिक्षा : किसी को बुरी खबर इस प्रकार से देनी चाहिए कि प्राप्त करने वाले को सदमा न लगे क्योंकि खबर मिलने से जो भी अवांछनीय परिणाम होगा उसे आपको ही झेलना पड़ेगा।

सृष्टि की रचना बहुत समय पहले की बात है- महा-प्रलय से सम्पूर्ण सृष्टि का नाश हो गया था। विष्णु भगवान आदिशेष पर विश्राम कर रहे थे। आदिशक्ति देवी ने उन्हें जगाकर कहा, “प्रभु, आँखें खोलिए! सृष्टि की रचना का समय आ गया है...” विष्णु भगवान ने धीरे से अपनी आँखें खोलकर अपनी नाभि की ओर देखा। वहाँ स्वयंभू ब्रह्मा कमल पुष्प पर बैठे थे। वे हाथ जोड़े हुए विष्णु को ही निहार रहे थे। विष्णु भगवान ने कहा, “ब्रह्मा, कमल से आप सृष्टि की रचना करिए, जो शाश्वत हो... उसका विलय तब तक न हो जब तक मैं स्वयं ही विलय न करूँ..." ब्रह्मा ने तुरंत कमल के तीन भाग किए और स्वर्ग, पृथ्वी और आकाश का निर्माण किया। फिर धरती को उन्होंने प्राकृतिक वनस्पतियों और जीवों से परिपूर्ण कर दिया। इस रचना को देख विष्णु ने कहा, "ब्रह्मा, यह तो सुंदर है पर इन सबका ख्याल कौन रखेगा तथा कौन इन्हें भोगेगा?" कुछ सोचते हुए ब्रह्मा ने कहा, “हूँऽऽऽ... अर्थात् मुझे स्वयं से प्राणियों की रचना करनी होगी...।" ब्रह्मा ने अपने शरीर के दो भागों में से एक से पुरूष और दूसरे से नारी की रचना की।

आत्मा ईश्वर ने पंचभूत देवों (पृथ्वी, जल, अग्नि, गगन और वायु) की रचना की। देवताओं ने उनसे अनुरोध किया, “हम चाहते हैं कि कोई हमें अन्न और जल उपलब्ध करवाए, हमारा पोषण करे..." यह सुनकर ईश्वर ने पंचभूतों से मानव की रचना की और देवताओं को उसमें प्रवेश करने के लिए कहा। सर्वप्रथम उन्होंने अग्नि से प्रवेश करने के लिए कहा। अग्नि देव मनुष्य के मुख में वाणी बने, वायु देव नासिका से प्रवेश कर जीवनदायिनी श्वास बने, सूर्यदेव ने चक्षु बन दृष्टि प्रदान की। चारों दिशाओं ने कान से प्रवेश किया और श्रवण शक्ति दी। पृथ्वी की दिव्य जड़ी-बूटियाँ शरीर के चर्म भाग पर रोम के रूप में समा गईं। अंत में 'मन' मनुष्य मस्तिष्क में विचार रूप में स्थापित हुआ। इस प्रकार ईश्वर ने सभी देवों को मनुष्य के भीतर ज्ञानेन्द्रिय रूप में स्थापित कर दिया। अपनी पहचान बनाने के लिए उन्होंने मनुष्य के सिर के ऊपरी भाग में एक ‘ब्रह्मरंध्र' बनाया। वहीं से आत्मा मनुष्य के शरीर में प्रवेश करती है। आत्मा अविनाशी है, इस पर किसी भी प्राकृतिक भाव का असर नहीं होता। इसका एक ही स्वाभाविक गुण है- स्वाभाविक रूप से प्रसार करना और ईश्वर में विलीन होना। जब तक आत्मा ईश्वर के अपने मुख्य बिन्दु तक नहीं पहुँचती, तब तक शरीर बदलता रहता है।

वेद क्या है ? :- संस्कृत शब्द है जो "ज्ञान" या "ज्ञान का स्रोत" के अर्थ में आता है। वेद हिंदू धर्म के प्राचीनतम और पवित्र ग्रंथों का संग्रह है। इन्हें चार भागों में विभाजित किया गया है - ऋग्वेद, यजुर्वेद, सामवेद और अथर्ववेद । वेदों को श्रुति माना जाता है, यानी वेदों को सुना गया था और गुरु-शिष्य परंपरा के माध्यम से पीढ़ी दर पीढ़ी स्थानांतरित किया गया था। वेदों का महत्व हिंदू धर्म में बहुत अधिक है, और इन्हें आध्यात्मिक, धार्मिक, और दार्शनिक ज्ञान का प्रमुख स्रोत माना जाता है। उपनिषद क्या है ? :- उपनिषद हिंदू धर्म के प्रमुख धार्मिक और दार्शनिक ग्रंथ हैं जो वेदों का अंतिम हिस्सा माने जाते हैं। इन्हें वेदांत के नाम से भी जाना जाता है, क्योंकि यह वेदों का अंतिम और महत्वपूर्ण भाग हैं। "उपनिषद" शब्द का अर्थ है "पास बैठना," जो यह दर्शाता है कि ये ज्ञान गुरुओं के निकट बैठकर सुना और सीखा जाता था। पुराण क्या है ? :- पुराण हिंदू धर्म के धार्मिक ग्रंथों का एक महत्वपूर्ण समूह है जो प्राचीन कथाओं, धर्म, इतिहास, और दर्शन का संग्रह है। "पुराण" शब्द का अर्थ "प्राचीन कथाएँ" या "पुरानी बातें" होता है। पुराणों में ब्रह्मांड की उत्पत्ति, देवताओं की कहानियाँ, राजाओं और ऋषियों के जीवन, और अन्य धार्मिक और सांस्कृतिक विषयों का विस्तार से वर्णन किया गया है। ये कथायें ज्ञानवर्धक, रुचिकर होने के साथ-साथ जनसामान्य के लिए पथप्रदर्शक भी हैं,
