" The Hours Between Waking and Mourning " By Jacky Kapadia In that pale hush where night loosens its hold, And dawn is not yet brave enough to rise, Time lingers softly, quiet and untold, A fragile breath between the truths and lies. The world is still, yet heavy with a weight, Of dreams that fade but leave their shadows near, A tender hour suspended out of fate, Where hope feels distant, edged with silent fear. Each ticking second echoes through the chest, A hollow rhythm searching for its name, No past to hold, no future offering rest, Only a soul half-anchored, half aflame.
