In quiet rooms where echoes gently stay,
I trace the notes that time had brushed aside,
Each melody once lost now finds its way,
Through whispered chords where memory will reside.
The verses hum of days both bright and worn,
Of laughter stitched within familiar lines,
A softer truth in every phrase reborn,
Where past and present tenderly entwine.
My voice, unsure, relearns its ancient art,
Each pause a bridge between the then and now,
The old songs mend the fractures of the heart,
With simple grace no fleeting trends allow.
And as I sing what once I left behind,
I find myself in every sacred rhyme.
