The hills recite the echoes of my name, Long whispered through the corridors of time; Their silence holds a deeper, older claim, A memory more patient than my mind. The rivers bend as if they’ve known my course, Reflecting lives I’ve lived but can’t retrieve; They carry truths with quiet, steady force, Of all I’ve been, though I have yet to believe. The roads once walked with restless feet, Now shimmer with a wiser glow; What once felt bitter or incomplete Has shaped the strength we come to know. The past, though distant, gently speaks Through moments carved in heart and mind; In every loss the spirit seeks A deeper truth it hoped to find.
