They linger softly in the things we do, In how we speak, in choices left unspoken, A fragile thread that time keeps pulling through, Unseen, yet never truly torn or broken. Some names are wings that lift us toward the light, Others, like shadows, follow close behind, Yet all become the map we hold in sight, A shifting truth that shapes the human mind. They hold the stories we didn’t choose, Of roots that stretch beneath our skin, Of losses faced and dreams we refuse, And the silent wars we’ve yet to win. Some names are anchors, heavy and deep, Some are wings that teach us to rise, Some we remember, some we must keep, All reflected in tomorrow’s skies.
