The laughter lingered longer in the air, Unshadowed by the weight of what would change, Each sunset held a calm, familiar care— A gentle world, unbroken and unchanged. We walked through moments careless and complete, Unknowing of the edges drawing near, Where ordinary days and dreams would meet A distant shift we neither saw nor feared.
