" After the Fever, the Long Quiet " By Jacky Kapadia After the fever broke, the room grew wide, A hush like snowfall settled deep inside; The clock resumed its patient, measured art, Each second stitching calm into the heart.The body, once a battlefield of flame, Now learned the gentler discipline of name— Of breath, of light that slips through half-drawn shade, Of fragile strength so quietly remade.Outside, the world had not been torn apart; It waited, distant, like a cautious start.
