" The Land Remembers Before I Do " By Jacky Kapadia Before my feet recall the ancient way, The soil has traced each step I’ve yet to take; It hums of paths I wandered yesterday, In roots and winds that never truly wake. The hills recite the echoes of my name, Long whispered through the corridors of time; Their silence holds a deeper, older claim, A memory more patient than my mind. The rivers bend as if they’ve known my course, Reflecting lives I’ve lived but can’t retrieve; They carry truths with quiet, steady force, Of all I’ve been, though I have yet to believe.
