Eximox Design Studio is a Mumbai-based interior design studio that's been designing homes and offices across the city since 2018, known for transparent, itemized billing and over 1,100 completed projects.
Hey everyone — I run/work with Eximox Design Studio, an interior design team based in Mumbai, and I wanted to share a bit about what we do, partly to introduce ourselves and partly because I've noticed a lot of people here asking similar questions about renovating or designing their homes.
We started in 2018, and since then we've worked on a mix of everything — compact 1BHK and 2BHK flats where every square foot needs to earn its place, full home renovations, office interiors for small teams and growing startups, and modular kitchens that end up being far more requested than people expect. We work across Mumbai, not just one neighbourhood, so we've picked up a fairly wide range of experience — sea-facing apartments that need moisture-conscious material choices, older heritage-style buildings that need a more careful renovation approach, and newer high-rises where the challenge is usually more about layout and space planning.
One thing we care about more than most design studios talk about: billing transparency. Interior design pricing in India is often frustratingly vague, and we've deliberately built our process so that every client gets a clear, itemized quote — design fees, materials, execution costs — before any work starts. No surprise additions halfway through a project. If you've ever heard a horror story about a renovation ballooning in cost with no explanation, that's exactly what we've tried to design our process around avoiding.
In terms of style, we don't push one aesthetic on every client. Right now we're seeing a lot of demand for warm, minimalist looks (Japandi-style — Japanese minimalism with Scandinavian warmth), soft luxury finishes like microcement and brass accents, and warm earthy colour palettes replacing the all-white look that used to dominate. But just as often, someone wants something completely different, and that's fine too — our job is to figure out what actually fits how you live, not what's trending on Instagram.
We've completed over 1,100 turnkey projects at this point, ranging from single-room makeovers to full apartments and office fit-outs. If you're in the middle of planning a renovation and have questions — about budgeting, timelines, modular kitchens, colour choices, whatever — feel free to ask here or DM us. Genuinely happy to help even if you don't end up working with us; a lot of renovation stress comes from just not knowing what to expect going in.
If you do want to see examples of our work or get a quote, our studio's based in Mumbai and covers the whole city — happy to share more details if it's useful.
