A boy once lived with words he never knew.

His thoughts like birds behind a guarded sky,

Would flutter, ache, yet never dare to fly.

He watched the world in gestures, signs, and eyes,

In quiet truths that language often denies.

Each whisper passed him like a distant stream,

Unheard, yet stirring echoes in his dream.

But time, a patient sculptor of the soul,

Began to shape the fragments into whole.

A syllable, then two—uncertain, weak—

Until one day, the boy began to speak.

And oh, the sound—no louder than the breeze,

Yet strong enough to bend the tallest trees.

For in that voice, once hidden, now set free,

He spoke not just in words—but finally, he.

The smallest fall, a lesson dressed,

For every misstep lights the way,

Toward wiser steps another day.

No towering dream is built in haste,

Nor effort ever truly waste,

Each failure shapes the path ahead,

By truths that only loss has said.

So rise again, let strength prevail,

Let hope outshine each seeming fail,

For success is carved, steady and true,

From all the times you started anew.

it knows the weight I carry, where I came,

and folds my wandering back into its beat.

The wind repeats what silence cannot keep,

in dialects of dust and bending grain;

it reads the vows I buried far too deep,

and lifts them gently, whispering again.

Each stone records the hours I never claimed,

the paths I left unwalked, yet still were mine;

in roots and rivers, nothing goes unnamed—

time writes in earth a more enduring line.

So when I pause, unsure of who I’ve been,

the land speaks first, in truths both old and true:

you were always written here, within—

the land remembers, long before you do.
