अक्सर हम प्लासी की लड़ाई को याद करते हैं, लेकिन असल में 22 अक्टूबर 1764 को लड़े गए बक्सर के युद्ध ने ही भारत में ब्रिटिश शासन की असली नींव रखी थी।

🔹 गंगा नदी का सहारा: मैप में देखें कैसे ब्रिटिश सेना (नीले मार्कर्स) ने अपनी बाईं ओर गंगा नदी को सुरक्षित ढाल (Anchor) बनाया।
🔹 अनुशासन बनाम भीड़: एक तरफ 3 बड़े शासकों (मीर क़ासिम, शुजा-उद-दौला, शाह आलम II) की संयुक्त विशाल सेना थी, और दूसरी तरफ मेजर हेक्टर मुनरो की छोटी लेकिन अनुशासित ब्रिटिश पलटन।
🔹 निर्णायक मोड़: ब्रिटिश तोपखाने (Artillery) की सटीक मार ने कैसे भारी संख्या वाली सेना को पीछे हटने पर मजबूर कर दिया।

परिणाम? इसी युद्ध के बाद 1765 में अंग्रेजों को बंगाल, बिहार और उड़ीसा के 'दीवानी अधिकार' (Tax Rights) मिले, और मुगलों का सूर्य अस्त होने लगा।

पानीपत का तृतीय युद्ध: एक रणनीतिक विश्लेषण (14 जनवरी 1761)
आज ही के इतिहास में, पानीपत के मैदान में 18वीं सदी का सबसे भीषण युद्ध लड़ा गया था। यह केवल दो सेनाओं की टक्कर नहीं थी, बल्कि दो अलग-अलग युद्ध शैलियों (Warfares) का टकराव था। इस विशेष मानचित्र के माध्यम से उस दिन की भौगोलिक और रणनीतिक स्थिति को समझें।

🚩 मराठा तोपखाना (बाईं ओर):
इब्राहिम खान गार्दी के नेतृत्व में मराठा तोपखाना (Artillery) एक सीधी पंक्ति में तैनात था। यह उस समय एशिया के सबसे बेहतरीन तोपखानों में से एक था, लेकिन भारी होने के कारण इसे जल्दी से स्थानांतरित (move) करना कठिन था।

🐎 दुर्रानी की 'अर्ध-चंद्र' व्यूहरचना (दाईं ओर):
अहमद शाह अब्दाली की सेना ने पारंपरिक सीधी लड़ाई के बजाय लचीली 'क्रेसेंट फॉर्मेशन' (Crescent Formation) अपनाई। मानचित्र में दाईं ओर देखें कि कैसे अफगान घुड़सवारों (Cavalry) ने मराठा सेना को घेरने (Encirclement) की कोशिश की।

⚠️ सप्लाई लाइन का संकट:
पीछे की ओर मराठा शिविर (Camp) दिखाई दे रहा है। युद्ध से पहले ही दुर्रानी सेना ने मराठों की रसद (Supply line) काट दी थी, जिससे सेना और जानवर भूख से कमजोर हो गए थे।

🌍 भौगोलिक कारक:
खुला मैदान और यमुना नदी की स्थिति ने युद्ध के परिणाम में बड़ी भूमिका निभाई।

निष्कर्ष:
यद्यपि मराठा वीरों ने अदम्य साहस का परिचय दिया, लेकिन रसद की कमी और तोपखाने की स्थिरता (Static nature) भारी पड़ी। यह युद्ध उत्तर भारत में शक्ति संतुलन के परिवर्तन का कारण बना।
